I’m Erin, the lifestyle, newborn, & wedding photographer behind Erin Tetterton Photography. I set out in life to be an astronaut, but after realizing passing calculus wasn't one of my super powers, I changed course and am blessed to celebrate life's most important moments with incredible people  throughout North-East Florida, Jacksonville, and Orange Park.

I am an artist at heart and studied painting, ceramics, and photography in college. In 2009 I found myself telling my own life's story as a new wife in a new city through art and most often photography. My photographic style is a balance between my roots in fine art & my passion of telling a good story.

I live to create images you can "feel" as much as you see. The moment you marry your spouse or those first weeks of motherhood are incredible and go by so quickly; however, it's photography that steps in and says "This moment stays." And keeps them for a time when you need them most.

Personally I'm drawn to the drama of black and white portraiture and spent several years developing black and white film in the dark room. My love for color grew out of painting. My current photographic style is heavily influenced by both.

In my free time I love exploring from Boneyard Beach to Flagler College and everything in between. I'm also a huge art nerd and love to visit museums across the country. My favorite artists are Caravaggio, Klee, Edward Westin, & Wayne Theibaud. Modern art wasn’t one of my first loves, but I can make a compelling argument for why everyone should appreciate Rothko, Agnes Martin, & the like.  Do you love art too?  Let's chat!

Meet the artist

I could not have gone with a better photographer for my wedding. Erin is THE BEST by far!!! She's so sweet, funny, and amazingly talented. Not only that, but she is extremely diligent, responsive, and knowledgeable.

Being an artist myself, I very much appreciate her artistic style when it comes to photography. Her style is very sincere, thoughtful, and romantic, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The photos are beautiful with attention to detail and particularly special and individual moments. She took amazing dancing pictures as well, and I most especially love the ones where I'm dancing with my mom. My father looks so genuinely happy in the photos, and I'm so grateful she was able to capture that. My husband's father looked extremely thoughtful and wise in his photos, which I know my husband loved.

She doesn't take pictures just to take pictures. She puts a lot of thought into how she captures a moment and has a great eye. I can't stop looking at my photos!

Erin was such a joy to work with!!  Leading up to our wedding, Erin always made herself available to answer questions, walk through our venue, and make sure she had a thorough understanding of everything we wanted her to capture during our special day. I honestly don't think I ever waited more than a couple hours for a response! She and her assistant, did an amazing job of wrangling our crew and making our event look so elegant and timeless while blending seamlessly into the background!

Within just two and a half weeks, Erin sent us a link to all the photos from the day, perfectly organized into albums and available for immediate download. We spent a few days pouring over all the images and reliving our wedding day! It was the perfect way to come home from our honeymoon! We would highly, highly recommend Erin-- she's amazingly talented, generous with her time, and so, so great to work with!

I cannot thank you enough for such a brilliant job. Ryan and I are forever grateful for your kind, patient and helpful heart. You're a rare gem in the wedding planning/vendor world and I hope that you'll always keep the sparkle and beautiful spirit that is so apparent in your work and interaction with perfect strangers! :)

Happy are the many brides that will have the privilege to work with you in the future.

This note is to let you know how pleased I am with our newborn photos! My favorite, from an artistic standpoint, is the one of Joaquin and his mobile. It reminds me of a photo in the Art Institute of Chicago of a woman looking up at an Alexander Calder sculpture in the National Gallery. Very nicely done!

Thank you again for taking time to shoot and curate such a beautiful collection. You have an incredible gift.
