When mother’s first get in touch with me and ask if they can send over their newborn Pinterest inspiration board, I always feel obligated to remind them that putting together a list of the most iconic newborn images from 50 different sessions, with 50 different photographers, on 50 different days, involving 50 different families, is not *quite* a realistic expectation.

I know EVERY session has at least one or two really incredible iconic images that come out of it and an entire gallery of beautiful photos that will remind you of how small and precious your new little one was when you first brought them home. ….and if there is an older brother or sister, I work my hardest to make sure one of those very most precious images is of the two of them together; however, big brother and sister, especially if they’re under the age of five can be a really tough bunch, compounded by the fact that mom and dad are now sharing time with the new addition.

HOWEVER, there are exceptions to the rule and after reminding mamma of everything I just told you, I asked her to go ahead and send the board over. The photos she had pinned were everything I’d hoped they would be. Beautiful, classic imagery that focused on family connection and love. What I wasn’t sure was going to happen was….would the new little one cooperate….and even more importantly…..would the toddler cooperate.

BUT big sister AND little sister both were a dream to work with. I was so excited as the time in this session sailed by so smoothly and the images came on perfectly! Can’t wait to share every single one of them with this now family of FOUR. <3
