So in love with the rich colors and bold outfits Aprile and Justin chose for their engagement session in Rosslyn, VA before transitioning into Georgetown DC.   This is one of my favorite location combinations for sunrise session as it allows us to enjoy the first rays on of the sunrise from the Virginia side of the Potomac, as well as views from the Georgetown side.  The pink hot pink roses that bloom in Gateway Park in the spring are stunning and make for a fun and playful backdrop for an engagement session.  Sunrise engagement sessions start early during the months of May and June for both Rosslyn and Georgetown; however, that light just doesn’t disappoint!

Loved getting to know these two souls. I love they way the love each other and can’t wait to follow them for many years to come.

The next stop for this engagement session was Georgetown.  The iconic windows of Dean and Deluca add interest and structure to the images.

….and it’s hard to do a Georgetown engagement session without including a stop at the Georgetown Canal and Katy Alley.
