Kristin & John had dreamed up the perfect vision for their Gramercy Mansion Wedding. They added touches of their Scottish ancestry to the details, creating the perfect balance for this Scottish themed wedding.
The bride got ready in the Cassatt Suite, which is full of gorgeous antiques and makes for the perfect bridal backdrop.
Although the couple had originally envisioned themselves having an outdoor ceremony, and for those of you who have visited the gardens at Gramercy Mansion can definitely understand why, they ended up using the rain back up plan as there was extensive rain on their wedding day.
Adding to the Scottish theme were the thistles (the official flower of Scotland) added to the bridal bouquet.
The rainy day wedding required Kristin & John to move their first look at Gramercy Mansion indoors. The mansion was built in the 1840s by Alexander J. Cassatt, who is the brother to the famous painter Mary Cassatt.
Gramercy is full of incredible architectural details and makes the perfect backdrop for any wedding.
The most iconic portrait location at Gramercy Mansion are the grand staircase at the front of the home.
Although the gardens at Gramercy Mansion are beautiful, this indoor space makes for a convenient rain plan, should it rain on a wedding day.
The bride and groom walked into their ceremony to a bagpiper.
The reception set-up for this rainy day wedding at Gramercy Mansion was stunning!
I’m absolutely in love with the purple & yellow with tiny touches of tartan ribbon. Kristin DIYed the table numbers by adding twisted pieces of tartan from both her family’s and her husband’s family’s Scottish clan.
The sweet heart table featured navy blue velvet chairs & was set in front of this beautiful mirror under the tent at Gramercy Mansion.
Even the wedding cake played into the Scottish theme of this wedding with the addition of thistles & stripes of the tartan ribbons.
One of the Scottish wedding traditions in a gifting of silver spoons, which are to be engraved on their first anniversary.
Dinner was served under the twinkle lights and chandeliers while rain still continued to fall late into the evening.
Absolutely loved this photo booth moment tucked away in a groomsman’s pocket.

Hi I’m Erin and the artist behind Erin Tetterton Photography. Welcome to the photographic THE ARCHIVES.
I believe our lives are divine orchestrations. We each have a story and I believe they are stories that deserve to be told and told well. From Weddings, to Babies, and to celebrate the years we are just glad to have behind us. The photos I take are the images that tell the story. Your own history. Your family’s history. ….and the history of those generations that are to come.
My goal is to create authentic, timeless imagery that accurately depicts each phase of your life. Those phases will be different, unique, and beautiful. Inject humor! Do them in a place you love!
