Cameo’s Maternity Portraits at Cherry Hill Park in Falls Church, VA

NEWBORN

This pup is looking super excited for the arrival of her little brother!

A very common question I receive is whether or not dog should be included during portraits.  ….and my answer if YES!  I love including furry family members in sessions.

However, there are a few things you may want to consider:

1.)  Location!  Many locations can be very distracting to a dog, for example, a high traffic area with lots of other pups or one with lots of car traffic.  I’ve worked with plenty of dogs during sessions and am happy to help you select a location that will be comfortable for everyone involved.

2.)  Bringing along a friend to hold onto your pup until part of the way through the session can be super helpful!  I usually recommend having the dog arrive for the last half of the session, just in case there is a stray muddy paw.

3.)  Bring treats!  Just a few treats go a long way in helping to ensure cooperation.

4.)  Lastly, I finally ask that you obey all local leash laws.  In many cases I’m able to Photoshop a distracting lease out of your most favorite photo of the day.

Hi I’m Erin and the artist behind Erin Tetterton Photography. Welcome to the photographic THE ARCHIVES.

I believe our lives are divine orchestrations. We each have a story and I believe they are stories that deserve to be told and told well. From Weddings, to Babies, and to celebrate the years we are just glad to have behind us. The photos I take are the images that tell the story. Your own history. Your family’s history. ….and the history of those generations that are to come.

My goal is to create authentic, timeless imagery that accurately depicts each phase of your life. Those phases will be different, unique, and beautiful. Inject humor! Do them in a place you love!
