This Blessed Sacrament wedding in Chevy Chase, MD was full of cozy touches and rose gold flourishes that made winter feel like the most spectacular time of the years.
Colleen who is a wedding planner herself & the owner of O’Neil Events chose to get ready at her parent’s home in Chevy Chase before the wedding ceremony to be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Colleen’s mother at the house decorated to perfection with decorations that were equally perfect for the holidays, as well as their wedding. The metallic rose gold bows were tucked among garland, wreaths, & trees.
Colleen chose an off the shoulder a-line dress with rose gold embellishments and a short train for her Blessed Sacrament wedding.
Danny chose a rose gold halo engagement rings with an emerald cut diamond, which they paired with rose gold wedding bands.
The invitations for their wedding ceremony at Blessed Sacrament and their wedding reception at Columbia Country Club were foiled in rose gold.
Shoes are one of my favorite wedding day accessories and these stunners from Badgely Mischka in rose gold satin with crystal embellishments were a perfect pair.
Danny had opted for his to children to serve as flower girl & ring bearer. This sweet baby’s breath flower crown with the green velvet ribbon was created for the flower girl to wear.
The boutonnieres were made of roses, hypericum berries, & evergreen and trimmed in green velvet ribbon.
Getting ready at home before your wedding can be an excellent way to help manage your wedding day budget, but can additionally also add incredible personal touches. The baby photos on the shelf above where Colleen’s dress truly show a part of her own personal history and that of her family as well.
As part of her something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, Colleen had a small piece of the parachute her grandfather parachuted with out of his plane to safety during WWII with sewn into the hem of her dress.
It truly doesn’t get much more classically winter than this winter wedding bouquet full of winter greenery, roses, and lilies trimmed with green velvet ribbon.
The groom, father of the bride, and other members of the family’s bridal party wore green and blue tartan bow ties with dark tuxedos.
The bride and groom both arrived separately to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Chevy Chase, MD. Danny & Colleen met at the school next to Blessed Sacrament, where they both attended when they each returned to coach lacrosse.
The catholic wedding ceremony included both an organist and a cantor.
Candid wedding photography is often something I’m asked about. Couples want to know how many of the photos are staged and how many are candid. The answer varies a lot of wedding to wedding; however, when I find one of these moments it just makes my wedding photographer heart sing. I’m absolutely smitten with the way Danny looked at Colleen during their vows. This is candid wedding photography at it’s finest.
The arches in Blessed Sacrament were perfect for framing the couple at the alter.
Loving the just married look on Danny & Colleen after their Blessed Sacrament wedding in Chevy Chase, MD.
After some portraits in front of the church, we popped over to the Christmas tree sale by the school for a few more festive wedding portraits with the Christmas trees before heading over to the wedding reception at Columbia Country Club.
The Christmas tree at Columbia Country Club was nothing short of spectacular and trimmed to the trim with vintage toys, ornaments, and classic DC touches.
The wedding reception as held in the ballroom at Columbia Country Club and featured winter arrangements with evergreen greenery and a beautiful Christmas tree.
Colleen continues to add rose gold touches with sequined table runners and tea lights
The winter wedding favors were ceramic Christmas tree ornaments and doubled as escort cards.
Columbia Country Club is absolutely stunning at Christmas with all of its decorations dovetailing in perfecting for this winter wedding.
Colleen & Danny shared their first dance beneath the beautiful chandelier in the Columbia Country Club ballroom.
Colleen & Danny had a candy bar at the reception as a little sweet take away and asked guests to sign snowflakes with well wishes in lieu of a guest book.
Wedding portraits at Columbia Country Club are always spectacular. We did some portraits indoors, but also popped outside for a few as well.
This may be the most quintessential Christmas wedding photo ever for a Christmas wedding at Columbia Country Club.
Afterwards, Colleen & Danny danced the night away with family & friends.

Hi I’m Erin and the artist behind Erin Tetterton Photography. Welcome to the photographic THE ARCHIVES.
I believe our lives are divine orchestrations. We each have a story and I believe they are stories that deserve to be told and told well. From Weddings, to Babies, and to celebrate the years we are just glad to have behind us. The photos I take are the images that tell the story. Your own history. Your family’s history. ….and the history of those generations that are to come.
My goal is to create authentic, timeless imagery that accurately depicts each phase of your life. Those phases will be different, unique, and beautiful. Inject humor! Do them in a place you love!
