Peter is an architect and I just knew he and his family would love doing a Family Session at Glenview Mansion.  Fall is absolutely perfect in our area from sun up to sundown….and lucky for us, the morning golden hour happens at a much more reasonable time.

This crew joined me for an early fall family session at Glenview Mansion in Rockville.  The gardens at Glenview Mansion are on the east side and slope down into an open field.  The early morning light trickles in quickly at first and then begins to pour in in all of it’s glory.  I’ve been to the gardens at Glenview Mansion many times over the years for photography, but this past season, the banana plants were by far the most exciting part of their annual plantings.

Peter, Melinda, & their two girls always have the very best outfits with a wide variety of prints, & textures.  The boots this year were to die for as well.

I do outdoor family sessions all over the DC area and while there are many places with beautiful gardens and lots of incredible architecture, I have to admit, I think Glenview Mansion gardens has the best mix of both.

If you are planning on doing an outdoor family photography session, I generally recommend getting in touch with me 8-10 weeks out to guarantee your spot.  If the fall weather holds, which it usually does in our area, I typically also add a number of slots each month.
