It doesn’t get much more iconic than an engagement session at the Lincoln Memorial & the DC War Memorial in Washington DC!

Zanah & Yousef knew they wanted to do photos at the Lincoln Memorial, but we couldn’t help but add a stop at the DC War Memorial during their engagement session, as well as making sure we captured the Washington Monument in the background too.

Summer engagement sessions are almost always full of the green from trees & grass, which made this red engagement session dress the PERFECT added touch of color.

Zanah’s engagement ring is completely custom. …and was designed by Yousef. The center stone is a lightly peach-y diamond.

Zanah says Yousef is the photogenic “one.” ….but I’m not sure that’s the whole story.
Summer in DC pretty much always mean hot AND humid weather, which we had; however, fortunately for this session, it just meant more dramatic sky instead of thunderstorms for this engagement session at the Lincoln Memorial & DC War Memorial.

The Lincoln Memorial is one of my favorite places in DC….and not just for engagement sessions, but also just to sit and watch the sunrise or the sunset.

Looking forward to celebrating their marriage together with them for a small intimate religious ceremony this year and again next year at Rose Hill Manor in Leesburg, VA.
