We could not have imagined a more beautiful January day for a Maternity Session at Ft. Ward Park in Alexandria, VA! Christy & Matt were joined with their dog, George, who is definitely going to be the best BIG brother ever.

Ft. Ward is one of my favorite locations for maternity sessions during the winter months as I love the way the sun sinks down behind the leafless trees and creates the most beautiful glow through the muted colors of the winter landscape.

The dried grasses at Ft. Ward Park in Alexandria, VA perfectly catch the golden hour light creating a beautiful orange glow behind this already glowing mom to be!

Christy’s choice of a purple shirt and scarf for her maternity session outfit was the perfect complement to this golden hour light.

Alright George, I’ll see you again soon when your little sister arrives!
