Erin & PK chose to host their modern winter wedding at The Line Hotel in DC. The Line Hotel is housed in a former neoclassical church building situated in the trendy DC neighborhood, Adams Morgan.
Beyond the inherent neoclassical architecture of the building, The Line Hotel’s history as a church is further embraced by the centerpiece chandelier made from the pipes from pipe organs.
Erin got ready for her her wedding day in the 7th floor bridal suite at The Line Hotel. The view of DC from the bridal suite is impeccable and includes a view of the Washington Monument.
Erin chose a lace dress over a peach-pink lining and paired it with a pair of pink suede shoes to complete her bridal look.
She and PK gave their guests their first taste for the feel of their The Line Hotel wedding day with gold foiled wedding invitations.
Erin and her bridal party sipped champagne as they prepared for the wedding day.
And if Erin’s choice of suede wedding day shoes didn’t convince you her taste is shoes was amazing, this bottle of Carolina Herrera’s Good Girl fragrance will.
Erin & PK knew they wanted to include their dog Dutch in their wedding day, as well as in their wedding ceremony. This made The Line Hotel, which is a dog friendly hotel, as well as a dog friendly DC wedding venue an excellent choice.
This champagne shaped pocket book was a gift from the bride’s sister and such a fun, whimsical way to stash a few important things on Erin’s wedding day.
Erin also chose to wear an heirloom emerald ring. I get so excited to hear the stories behind family pieces.
PK got ready for the wedding day with the help of a few of his friends on another floor of The Line Hotel.
He chose a navy tux paired with a black bow-tie.
PK and his groomsmen sipped on Bulleit Bourbon before the ceremony.
Wild Pollen, DC Wedding Florist, created this incredible winter-y bouquets, including one of my personal favorites, anemones.
It was a chilly day, but the front steps of The Line Hotel DC are still one of the best spots for bridal party photos.
Erin & PK decided against a first look and chose instead to first see each other at the alter on their wedding day.
Dutch, the couples dog, was such a fun addition to this wedding party.
As the sun began to set, the groom and groomsmen waited on the rooftop of The Line Hotel for the wedding to begin.
Guests were greeted at the door to the ceremony with glasses of champagne.
It was a cold day for a wedding in Washington DC, but the tent was heated and guests stayed cozy throughout the wedding ceremony.
The ceremony was set at sunset, so we popped out afterwards for night portraits on the front of The Line Hotel DC.
It would not be a Line Hotel DC Wedding without this shot down the front entryway with the iconic tilted mirror in the background.
After portraits, the bride and groom headed down to the ballroom to join their guests for cocktails, dinner, and dancing.
Julie and her team at Birch Events helped design this stunning winter themed reception. The tables featured floral centerpieces by Wild Pollen and an intricate cake by Buttercream Bakeshop.
The ballroom was full of candlelight, making a romantic setting for the wedding reception. The addition of the gilded chargers made for an extra touch of glitter-y glam to each place setting.
Erin & PK had Christmas ornaments hand-lettered with their names and dates as favors, which were set at each place setting.
The toasts were touching with few dry eyes and lots of laughter.
Buttercream Bakeshop created this stunning cake in pale pink and white and topped with a cake topper that said “You me & the Dog.”

Hi I’m Erin and the artist behind Erin Tetterton Photography. Welcome to the photographic THE ARCHIVES.
I believe our lives are divine orchestrations. We each have a story and I believe they are stories that deserve to be told and told well. From Weddings, to Babies, and to celebrate the years we are just glad to have behind us. The photos I take are the images that tell the story. Your own history. Your family’s history. ….and the history of those generations that are to come.
My goal is to create authentic, timeless imagery that accurately depicts each phase of your life. Those phases will be different, unique, and beautiful. Inject humor! Do them in a place you love!
